provide powerful, reliable, and value-added brokerage solutions. The
most recent service offering is a global Equities Sales team with a
proven track record covering mainly a premiere list of hedge fund
clients and proprietary trading desks who employ strategies covering
the whole spectrum of event arbitrage and deep value investing. The
sales proposition is one combining an intimate knowledge of
securities, credit and commodities.

This role involves research of special situations. This role will be
focussed on research surrounding company restructurings (e.g. disposal
programs), distressed companies and companies involved in any other
significant value proposition. The candidate should have a broad
understanding of different trading strategies and corporate accounts
and be able to make trade recommendations directly to clients. He or
she will produce trade ideas frequently and write in-depth research
for special opportunities as required. A substantial portion of this
position involves understanding the corporate situation, but also
involves selling as part of the revenue process.

Strong analytical mind and valuation skills and the ability to produce
spread sheet models of distressed companies including: Sum of the
Parts valuations and explicit modelling of the impact of rights issues
on company financials.

Highly inquisitive with a drive to discover key information on all
aspects of a trade. Candidate must have the confidence to cold call
industry specialists, company board members and investor relations,
lawyers, and academics to understand every aspect of a situation.

Ability to think laterally and proactive in capturing information that
can be synthesized into trade ideas

Fundamental research in Equities including the ability to discuss
business models and strategies with company Investor Relations to
develop company projections for key financial data (revenues,
earnings, cash flow, etc.)
