Hi there,
My name is Joyce van Dijk and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm interested in
WORKING IN LONDON AS A (allround) WEBMASTER/designer.
I have worked for TDK Systems Europe Ltd. in London for about 2 years.
This as a webmaster on the Marketing Dept.
Tasks were e.g.:
* Webmastering the site, update content,
* Monitoring competitors sites, monitoring traffic and implement browser
activities into design,
(make sure the site is cross browser), also to see what day of the week
there is the most traffic, etc etc.
* Some Marketing tasks like: polls on the website and checking interests of
customers and forwarding this to the Marketing Team.
* Co work with the programmer/IT specialist with online shopping sites
* Leaflet design,powerpoint design
* Flash annimations and DHTML
* Contact with TDK Recordable Media France and TDK Netherlands
( I speak Dutch, English and a bit German),which made it easy for me.
I was the contact point for Holland. (Also with small translations)
* Mailing design etc etc.
This job was an ALLROUND webmaster job. I liked the job a lot. Jobwages neg.
After being back in Holland for a few years and thinking about what I really
want to do with my life, I came to
the conclusion that London is the place where I want to live and make
carreer.
