That depends on what you are buying. If you are buying something that a
supermarket uses as a loss leader, or that has such a high turnover that
they can accept a minimal margin on it, they are never going to be able to
compete. However, if they didn't carry a product because of that, it would
upset those customers who want the conveninec of buying everything at one
place.
